A creamy and flavorful pasta dish with tender chicken and mushrooms in a rich sauce.
Ingredients

- 8 oz pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, sliced
- 8 oz mushrooms, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until no longer pink. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté mushrooms until soft.
- Add garlic and thyme, cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
- Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked chicken and pasta to the sauce. Toss to coat.
- Season with salt and pepper. Serve hot.
Notes
- Use fresh mushrooms for the best flavor.
- For extra richness, add a splash of white wine when cooking the mushrooms.
- Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream if you prefer a lighter sauce.
