Description
Craving a hearty moment of indulgence? These tender steak pieces are seared in aromatic garlic butter and paired with creamy cheese rigatoni.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 4 tablespoons (60g) unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 8 oz (225g) rigatoni pasta
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1 cup (100g) shredded cheese (cheddar, parmesan, or your choice)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the rigatoni according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tablespoons of butter over medium-high heat. Add the steak pieces, season with salt and pepper, and sear until browned and cooked to your liking, about 3-5 minutes. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining butter and minced garlic. Sauté for about 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Add the shredded cheese and stir until melted and smooth.
- Add the cooked rigatoni to the cheese sauce, tossing to coat evenly. Then add the seared steak back to the skillet and mix gently.
- Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add some red pepper flakes to the butter for a spicy kick.
- Feel free to use your favorite type of cheese for the rigatoni.
