Description

A hearty and flavorful dish made with corned beef and cabbage cooked slowly in a crock pot.


Ingredients

  • 34 lbs corned beef brisket
  • 1 large head of cabbage, quartered
  • 4 large carrots, peeled and cut into chunks
  • 4 large potatoes, quartered
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons mustard
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 2 bay leaves

Instructions

  1. Place the corned beef in the crock pot.
  2. Add the carrots, potatoes, and onion around the beef.
  3. Mix beef broth, mustard, and black pepper in a bowl.
  4. Pour the mixture over the beef and vegetables.
  5. Add the bay leaves on top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours.
  7. Add cabbage in the last 2 hours of cooking.
  8. Remove the beef and let it rest before slicing.
  9. Serve with vegetables and broth.
