Ingredients

  • 2 cans (15 oz each) whole kernel corn, drained
  • 1 can (15 oz) creamed corn
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 large eggs, beaten

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the whole kernel corn, creamed corn, milk, and melted butter.
  3. Stir in the sugar, cornmeal, baking powder, salt, and black pepper until well mixed.
  4. Add the beaten eggs and mix until fully incorporated.
  5. Pour the mixture into a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For a sweeter version, you can increase the sugar to 1 1/4 cups.
  • Add jalapeños or cheese for a spicy or cheesy twist.
  • This dish can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
