Ingredients

- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda

- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg
- 1 cup chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until smooth.
- Add pumpkin, egg, and vanilla. Mix well.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients. Mix until just combined.
- Fold in chocolate chips.
- Drop dough by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
- Cool on a wire rack before serving.
Notes
- Use pure pumpkin puree, not pumpkin pie filling.
- For extra crispiness, flatten dough slightly before baking.
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
