Description

A delicious, juicy cheeseburger made with high-quality beef, melted cheese, and classic toppings, served on a toasted bun.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20 blend recommended)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 4 slices of American cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Tomato slices
  • Pickles
  • Onions (sliced)
  • Ketchup
  • Mustard

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Form the ground beef into 4 equal patties, making a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent them from puffing up while cooking.
  3. Season both sides of the patties with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the patties on the grill or skillet and cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side.
  5. Flip the patties and place a slice of cheese on each one. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the burger reaches your desired doneness.
  6. Remove the patties from the grill and let them rest for a minute.
  7. Assemble the burgers by placing a patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun, followed by lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onions. Add ketchup and mustard to taste.
  8. Top with the other half of the bun and serve immediately.

Notes

  • For added flavor, mix some Worcestershire sauce into the ground beef before forming patties.
  • Feel free to customize your toppings with bacon, avocado, or different types of cheese.
