- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup brown sugar (for swirl)
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional, for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9-inch baking pan.
- In a bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add softened butter, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
- Pour half the batter into the pan.
- Sprinkle a mixture of cinnamon and brown sugar over the batter.
- Add the remaining batter and top with streusel (flour, butter, sugar, and nuts).
- Bake for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before serving.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For extra crunch, toast the nuts before adding to the streusel.
- Serve warm with coffee or tea.
