Description

Delicious homemade cinnamon rolls with a soft and fluffy texture.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup powdered sugar (for icing)
  • 2 tablespoons cream cheese (for icing)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Add sugar, butter, eggs, and salt. Mix well.
  3. Gradually add flour and knead until smooth.
  4. Let the dough rise for 1 hour in a warm place.
  5. Roll out the dough into a rectangle.
  6. Spread melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon over the dough.
  7. Roll the dough tightly and cut into slices.
  8. Place slices in a greased baking dish and let rise for 30 minutes.
  9. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 minutes.
  10. Mix powdered sugar and cream cheese to make icing and drizzle over warm rolls.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add raisins or nuts.
  • Make sure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container.
