- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a loaf pan.
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt, and granulated sugar in a bowl.
- Whisk milk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla in another bowl.
- Combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
- In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon.
- Pour half the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle cinnamon-sugar mix, then add remaining batter.
- Use a knife to swirl the batter gently.
- Bake for 45-50 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before icing.
- Beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
- Drizzle icing over the bread.
Notes
- Store leftovers covered in the fridge for up to 3 days.
- For extra richness, add chopped nuts to the cinnamon layer.
- Let bread cool completely before slicing for cleaner cuts.
