Delicious and festive Christmas side dishes
Ingredients
- Green beans – 1 pound
- Garlic – 4 cloves, minced
- Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
- Salt – 1 teaspoon
- Pepper – 1/2 teaspoon
- Almonds – 1/2 cup, sliced
- Cranberries – 1/2 cup, dried
- Brussels sprouts – 1 pound, halved
- Balsamic vinegar – 2 tablespoons
- Butter – 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt, and pepper.
- Spread Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet and roast for 20 minutes.
- In a pan, heat butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
- Add green beans and cook for 5 minutes.
- Stir in almonds and cranberries, cooking for another 3 minutes.
- Drizzle balsamic vinegar over Brussels sprouts before serving.
- Serve green beans and Brussels sprouts together as sides.
Notes
- Feel free to add other vegetables.
- Use fresh cranberries if available.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
