- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add sugar and salt, stirring constantly until it turns golden brown.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.
- Pour the mixture onto the baking sheet and spread evenly.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips on top, let them melt, then spread smoothly.
- Add chopped nuts if desired.
- Let cool completely, then break into pieces.
