  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 large egg yolks
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Grease four ramekins with butter and place them on a baking sheet.
  2. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chopped dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring until completely melted and smooth.
  3. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, egg yolks, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and whisk until smooth.
  5. Sift in the flour and gently fold until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, until the edges are set but the center is still soft.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for 1 minute. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate.
  9. Serve immediately with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on the side.

Notes

  • You can prepare the batter in advance and refrigerate it. Just bake it when you are ready to serve.
  • For an extra touch, sprinkle some powdered sugar on top before serving.
