A deeply rich and decadent chocolate ganache torte with a smooth finish, perfect for special occasions.


Ingredients

  • 200g dark chocolate (70% cocoa)
  • 200ml heavy cream
  • 100g unsalted butter
  • 100g granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 50g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a 9-inch cake pan.
  2. Melt the dark chocolate and butter together in a double boiler, stirring until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
  4. Gradually fold the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture.
  5. Sift in the flour and salt, then add vanilla extract. Mix until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes until set.
  7. Let the torte cool completely before adding the ganache.
  8. For the ganache, heat the heavy cream until just simmering, then pour over chopped chocolate. Stir until smooth.
  9. Spread the ganache evenly over the cooled torte and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
