- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, beat together the softened butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla extract until creamy.
- Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Gradually blend in the flour mixture until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.
- Let cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For softer cookies, underbake slightly.
- You can substitute half of the chocolate chips with nuts for added texture.
- Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
