Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 bell peppers, sliced (red and green)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice, for serving
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine sliced beef, soy sauce, and cornstarch. Mix well and let marinate for 15 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the marinated beef in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove beef from the pan and set aside.
- In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the sliced onion and bell peppers, and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until they start to soften.
- Add minced garlic and ginger to the pan, and stir-fry for an additional minute until fragrant.
- Return the beef to the pan, and pour in the beef broth and oyster sauce. Stir everything together and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and the beef is heated through.
- Drizzle with sesame oil, season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve over cooked rice.
Notes
- You can add other vegetables such as broccoli or snap peas for extra nutrition.
- For a spicier kick, add sliced chili peppers or a dash of chili sauce.
- Make sure to slice the beef against the grain for tenderness.
