Description
A quick and flavorful Chinese beef and onion stir fry that’s perfect for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients

- 1 lb beef (sliced thin)
- 2 onions (sliced)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tsp ginger (minced)
- 2 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Marinate beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and black pepper for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a wok or pan over high heat.
- Add ginger and garlic, stir for 10 seconds.
- Add beef and stir-fry until browned (about 3 minutes). Remove from pan.
- Add onions and stir-fry for 2 minutes.
- Return beef to the pan, mix well, and cook for another minute.
- Serve hot with rice.
Notes
- Slice beef against the grain for tenderness.
- Adjust soy sauce to taste.
- Use high heat for best results.
