Description
A comforting chicken pot pie soup made in a crockpot.
Ingredients

- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup carrots, diced
- 1 cup celery, diced
- 1 cup onion, diced
- 3 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon thyme
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place chicken, carrots, celery, and onion in the crockpot.
- Add chicken broth, thyme, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- Cover and cook on low for 6 hours or high for 3 hours.
- Shred the chicken and return it to the pot.
- Add frozen peas and heavy cream, stir well.
- Cook for an additional 30 minutes on low.
Notes
- Serve with crusty bread.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
