- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Flatten the chicken breasts to even thickness.
- Season flour with salt and pepper.
- Dip chicken in flour, then beaten eggs, and finally coat with a mixture of breadcrumbs, parmesan, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Fry chicken until golden brown on both sides.
- Place fried chicken in a baking dish.
- Top each piece with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake in the oven for 20 minutes or until cheese is bubbly.
- Serve hot with pasta or a side salad.
