Description

Crispy and juicy chicken cutlets made effortlessly in the air fryer. This healthier version of a classic dish is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cooking spray or olive oil spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
  3. In a shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a second bowl, beat the eggs.
  5. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
  6. Coat each chicken cutlet in the flour mixture, shaking off excess, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
  7. Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
  8. Place the breaded chicken cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap. You may need to cook in batches.
  9. Spray the top of the cutlets with a little cooking spray.
  10. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cutlets are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
  11. Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in your favorite seasoning or buttermilk for a few hours before breading.
  • You can add grated Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture for added flavor.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad.
