Description
Crispy and juicy chicken cutlets made effortlessly in the air fryer. This healthier version of a classic dish is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 1 cup breadcrumbs (panko for extra crunch)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooking spray or olive oil spray
Instructions
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Slice each chicken breast in half horizontally to create thinner cutlets.
- In a shallow bowl, combine flour, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- In a second bowl, beat the eggs.
- In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.
- Coat each chicken cutlet in the flour mixture, shaking off excess, then dip in the egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.
- Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
- Place the breaded chicken cutlets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they do not overlap. You may need to cook in batches.
- Spray the top of the cutlets with a little cooking spray.
- Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the cutlets are golden brown and cooked through (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).
- Remove from the air fryer and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the chicken in your favorite seasoning or buttermilk for a few hours before breading.
- You can add grated Parmesan cheese to the breadcrumb mixture for added flavor.
- Serve with your favorite dipping sauce or alongside a fresh salad.
