Description

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 slices ham
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound chicken breasts to 1/4-inch thickness.
  3. Layer each breast with 2 slices of ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese.
  4. Roll up chicken tightly and secure with toothpicks.
  5. Coat chicken in flour, then dip in egg, and roll in breadcrumbs.
  6. Place in a baking dish and drizzle with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  8. For the sauce, heat heavy cream and milk in a saucepan.
  9. Add shredded Swiss cheese, salt, and pepper, stirring until smooth.
  10. Pour sauce over baked chicken before serving.
