- 4 large russet potatoes, thinly sliced
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons butter, diced
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine the heavy cream, garlic, salt, pepper, thyme, and paprika. Mix well.
- Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter.
- Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the baking dish. Pour half of the cream mixture over the potatoes and sprinkle with half of the cheddar and Parmesan cheese.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining potatoes, cream mixture, and cheeses.
- Dot the top with diced butter.
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let sit for 10 minutes before serving.
