Ingredients

- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large pot, boil the cubed potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
- Add sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the potatoes.
- Mash the mixture until creamy.
- Stir in 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese.
- Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
- Top with the remaining cheese.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
- Garnish with green onions before serving.
Notes
- Use any cheese you prefer.
- Add cooked bacon for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
