Ingredients

  • 4 large potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large pot, boil the cubed potatoes until tender, about 15 minutes.
  3. Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  4. Add sour cream, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the potatoes.
  5. Mash the mixture until creamy.
  6. Stir in 1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese.
  7. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish.
  8. Top with the remaining cheese.
  9. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the cheese is bubbly.
  10. Garnish with green onions before serving.
