Ingredients

- 8 oz Gruyère cheese, grated
- 8 oz Emmental cheese, grated
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 2 cloves garlic, halved
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Bread cubes for dipping
Instructions
- Rub the inside of the fondue pot with garlic.
- Pour in the wine and heat over medium heat until warm.
- Gradually add the grated cheese, stirring constantly.
- Mix cornstarch with lemon juice and add to the pot.
- Add kirsch and season with salt and pepper.
- Keep stirring until the cheese is melted and smooth.
- Serve with bread cubes for dipping.
