A classic cheese fondue recipe perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients

- 400g Gruyère cheese, grated
- 400g Emmental cheese, grated
- 300ml dry white wine
- 2 cloves garlic, halved
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh bread, cut into cubes for dipping
Instructions
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic halves.
- Pour in the wine and heat until just simmering.
- Add the grated cheeses gradually, stirring continuously until melted.
- Stir in the lemon juice and cornstarch mixed with kirsch.
- Season with black pepper.
- Keep warm over a low flame and serve with bread cubes.

- Stir continuously to prevent the cheese from clumping.
