A classic cheese fondue recipe perfect for gatherings.
Ingredients

- 200g Gruyère cheese, grated
- 200g Emmental cheese, grated
- 300ml dry white wine
- 1 clove garlic, halved
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh bread, cubed for dipping
Instructions
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic.
- Pour in white wine and lemon juice. Heat gently.
- Gradually add the grated cheeses, stirring constantly.
- Mix cornstarch with kirsch and add to the pot.
- Season with pepper and stir until smooth.
- Serve immediately with bread cubes for dipping.

- Use a good quality cheese for best results.
- Keep the pot over low heat to maintain the cheese’s texture.
