Ingredients

  • 200g Emmental cheese, grated
  • 300ml dry white wine
  • 1 clove garlic, halved
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Fresh bread, cubed for dipping

Instructions

  1. Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic.
  2. Pour in white wine and lemon juice. Heat gently.
  3. Gradually add the grated cheeses, stirring constantly.
  4. Mix cornstarch with kirsch and add to the pot.
  5. Season with pepper and stir until smooth.
  6. Serve immediately with bread cubes for dipping.
