Description
A warm and creamy cheese fondue perfect for dipping bread and vegetables.
Ingredients

- 200g Gruyère cheese
- 200g Emmental cheese
- 1 clove garlic
- 300ml dry white wine
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Bread cubes, for serving
- Vegetables, for serving
Instructions
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic clove.
- In a saucepan, heat the white wine and lemon juice until warm.
- Add the grated Gruyère and Emmental cheese gradually, stirring until melted.
- Mix the cornstarch with kirsch and add to the cheese mixture.
- Stir continuously until the mixture is smooth.
- Season with black pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mixture to the fondue pot and keep warm.
- Serve with bread cubes and vegetables for dipping.
Notes
- Use a mix of Swiss cheeses for best flavor.
- Adjust the thickness by adding more wine if needed.
- Keep the pot on low heat to maintain the temperature.
