Description
A creamy and delicious cheese fondue made with a blend of cheeses, perfect for dipping.
Ingredients

- 8 oz Gruyere cheese, shredded
- 8 oz Emmental cheese, shredded
- 1 clove garlic, halved
- 1 cup dry white wine
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons kirsch (cherry brandy)
- Freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Fresh bread cubes for dipping
Instructions
- Rub the inside of a fondue pot with the garlic halves.
- In a small bowl, mix the cornstarch with the kirsch and set aside.
- Heat the wine and lemon juice in the pot over medium heat until warm.
- Add the shredded cheeses gradually, stirring constantly until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the cornstarch mixture and continue stirring until thickened.
- Season with black pepper.
- Serve with fresh bread cubes for dipping.
Notes
- Use a good quality dry white wine for best flavor.
- Keep the fondue warm while serving.
- Experiment with different cheeses for unique flavors.
