Description

This exquisite dessert combines the natural sweetness of pears with a buttery, flaky pastry, making it a perfect treat for fall gatherings or cozy family dinners.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 ripe pears
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Peel and core the pears, then cut them in half.

  4. Add the sugar to the melted butter and stir until fully dissolved.
  5. Arrange the pear halves in a single layer in the skillet, cut side up.
  6. Sprinkle the vanilla extract and cinnamon over the pears.
  7. Cook the pears for about 15 minutes until they start to caramelize.
  8. Remove the skillet from heat and let it cool slightly.
  9. Roll out the puff pastry and place it over the pears, tucking the edges down around the fruit.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the pastry is golden brown.
  11. Remove the tart from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes.
  12. Carefully invert the tart onto a serving plate.
