Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat butter and olive oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add onions, salt, and sugar. Cook until caramelized (about 25 minutes).
  3. Remove from heat and let cool.
  4. Mix Gruyere cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce, and black pepper in a bowl.
  5. Fold in caramelized onions.
  6. Transfer to an oven-safe dish.
  7. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes.
  8. Serve warm.
