Description
Delicious candied sweet potatoes cooked in a sweet syrup.
Ingredients

- 4 medium sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1 cup water
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Boil sweet potatoes in water for 10 minutes.
- Drain and place in a baking dish.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and mix in brown sugar, water, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- Pour the syrup over sweet potatoes.
- Bake for 30 minutes, basting occasionally.
Notes
- Adjust sugar based on your sweetness preference.
- Can add marshmallows on top for a sweeter dish.
