This is a classic butter chicken recipe, featuring tender chicken in a rich, creamy tomato sauce.

- 1 pound chicken breast, cubed
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch ginger, grated
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate chicken in yogurt, lemon juice, and spices for at least 1 hour.
- Heat butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Sauté onion until translucent.
- Add garlic and ginger; cook for 1 minute.
- Add marinated chicken and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato puree; simmer for 10 minutes.
- Add heavy cream, and stir well; cook for another 5 minutes.
- Season with salt to taste.
