Description
Butter chicken is a popular Indian dish made with marinated chicken cooked in a creamy tomato sauce.

- 1 lb chicken, boneless and skinless
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1 can (15 oz) tomato puree
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 2 tsp garam masala
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp chili powder
- Salt to taste
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken with yogurt, lemon juice, and spices for at least 1 hour.
- In a pan, melt butter and sauté onions until golden.
- Add garlic and ginger, cook for 2 minutes.
- Add marinated chicken and cook until browned.
- Stir in tomato puree and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Add heavy cream and cook for another 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with rice or naan.
