Description
A delightful fusion of creamy, spiced butter chicken served with a rich garlic sauce and perfectly crispy fries.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450g) boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 cup (240ml) plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons garam masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup (240ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (120ml) tomato puree
- 2 tablespoons cooking oil
- 4 large potatoes, cut into fries
- 3 tablespoons minced garlic
- Fresh cilantro, for garnish
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, garam masala, turmeric, red chili powder, and salt. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C). Spread the cut potatoes on a baking sheet, drizzle with oil, season with salt, and toss to coat. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until crispy, flipping halfway through.
- In a large skillet, heat butter over medium heat. Add the marinated chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 10-12 minutes.
- Stir in the tomato puree and cook for another 5 minutes. Add the heavy cream and simmer for an additional 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
- In a separate pan, heat a little oil over medium heat, add minced garlic, and sauté until golden brown. Pour this garlic sauce over the crispy fries.
- Serve the butter chicken with garlic sauce over the crispy fries, garnished with fresh cilantro.
