Ingredients

  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice of cheddar cheese
  • 1 slice of ham (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  3. Place one slice butter-side down in the skillet.
  4. Add cheese and ham (if using).
  5. Crack the egg onto the sandwich.
  6. Top with the second bread slice, butter-side up.
  7. Cook until golden brown, then flip.
  8. Cook until the other side is golden and the cheese melts.
