Ingredients
- Boneless prime rib roast – 5 lbs
- Salt – 2 tablespoons
- Black pepper – 1 tablespoon
- Garlic powder – 1 tablespoon
- Onion powder – 1 tablespoon
- Olive oil – 2 tablespoons
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Mix salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl.
- Rub the olive oil over the roast.
- Coat the roast with the seasoning mix evenly.
- Place the roast on a rack in a roasting pan.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 15 minutes.
- Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F (163°C) and continue roasting until desired doneness.
- Remove from the oven and let it rest for 20 minutes before slicing.
