- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cream the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg and vanilla extract.
- Gradually mix in the flour and salt until well combined.
- Fill a cookie press with the dough and press onto ungreased baking sheets.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
Notes
- Use room-temperature butter for the best texture.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes if it’s too soft to press.
- Decorate with sprinkles before baking if desired.
