- 1 cup (230g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup (60g) powdered sugar, plus extra for coating
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups (280g) all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup (85g) finely chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans, or hazelnuts)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, cream butter and 1/2 cup powdered sugar until smooth. Mix in vanilla.
- Stir in flour and salt until combined. Fold in chopped nuts.
- Shape dough into 1-inch balls and place on baking sheets.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until set but not browned.
- Let cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar while warm. Cool completely, then roll again.
Notes
- Store in an airtight container for up to a week.
- For best texture, use room-temperature butter.
