Tender beef tips cooked slowly in a rich and flavorful gravy, perfect served over rice or mashed potatoes.

- 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup red wine (optional)
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, for thickening)
- 2 tablespoons water (optional, for thickening)
Instructions
- Place the beef stew meat in the crock pot.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic on top of the beef.
- In a separate bowl, combine the beef broth, red wine (if using), Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Pour the mixture over the beef and onions in the crock pot.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours, until the beef is tender.
- If you prefer a thicker gravy, mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Add to the crock pot during the last 30 minutes of cooking, stirring to combine.
Notes
- Serve over rice, mashed potatoes, or egg noodles.
- You can add vegetables like carrots and potatoes to the crock pot for a complete meal.
