Scale
- 1 pound beef sirloin, cut into thin strips
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 cup sour cream
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8 ounces egg noodles
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the beef and cook until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent, about 3 minutes.
- Add the sliced mushrooms and cook until they are tender, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard. Bring to a simmer.
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir to combine. Reduce heat to low and stir in the sour cream. Cook until heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the beef stroganoff over the cooked egg noodles and garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a splash of white wine before adding the beef broth.
- Feel free to substitute the beef with chicken or turkey for a different variation.
