Tender and flavorful beef ribs slow-cooked to perfection, coated in a smoky barbecue sauce that will make your taste buds dance.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 pounds beef ribs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the beef ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Transfer the seared ribs to a baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until tender.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and brush generously with barbecue sauce.
- Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
- Remove from the oven, let rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.
Notes
- You can marinate the ribs in the spice mixture overnight for more flavor.
- Feel free to use your favorite barbecue sauce or make your own from scratch.
