  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. In a small bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  3. Rub the spice mixture all over the beef ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  4. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the ribs on all sides until browned, about 3-4 minutes per side.
  5. Transfer the seared ribs to a baking dish. Cover with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until tender.
  6. Remove the ribs from the oven and brush generously with barbecue sauce.
  7. Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered, for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the sauce is caramelized.
  8. Remove from the oven, let rest for 10 minutes, then slice and serve.

Notes

  • You can marinate the ribs in the spice mixture overnight for more flavor.
  • Feel free to use your favorite barbecue sauce or make your own from scratch.
