Description
A delicious beef ribs recipe that results in tender, flavorful ribs that are perfect for any barbecue or special occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 lbs beef ribs (short ribs or back ribs)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
- 1 cup beef broth
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- Rub the beef ribs with olive oil, then season with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Place the ribs in a large baking dish or roasting pan. Pour the beef broth around the ribs.
- Cover the dish tightly with aluminum foil to keep the moisture in.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 3 hours, until the ribs are tender.
- Remove the ribs from the oven and uncover them. Brush the barbecue sauce all over the ribs.
- Increase the oven temperature to 400°F (200°C) and return the ribs to the oven, uncovered.
- Bake for an additional 20-30 minutes, basting with more barbecue sauce halfway through, until the sauce is caramelized and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let the ribs rest for 10 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For an extra smoky flavor, consider adding a few drops of liquid smoke to the barbecue sauce.
- These ribs can also be cooked on a grill if preferred. Follow the same seasoning and sauce instructions.
