Description
These BBQ baked beans are the perfect side dish for your summer BBQs. Sweet, smoky, and loaded with flavor, they complement any grilled meat wonderfully.

- 2 cans (15 oz each) navy beans, drained and rinsed
- 1/2 cup BBQ sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chopped onion
- 1/4 cup chopped bell pepper
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the navy beans, BBQ sauce, brown sugar, chopped onion, chopped bell pepper, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
- If using bacon, fold in the crumbled bacon.
- Transfer the bean mixture to a baking dish and spread it evenly.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
- After 30 minutes, remove the foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, until the beans are bubbly and slightly caramelized on top.
- Serve warm alongside your favorite BBQ dishes.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the beans by adding more or less brown sugar according to your taste.
- For a spicier kick, add some diced jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
