Tender, flavorful pulled pork served on a bun with creamy coleslaw for the perfect BBQ sandwich.

- 3–4 lbs Pork Shoulder (Bone-in or boneless)
- 1 cup BBQ Sauce (Your favorite brand or homemade)
- 6 Buns (Hamburger or sandwich buns)
- 4 cups Coleslaw Mix (Shredded cabbage and carrots)
- 1 cup Coleslaw Dressing (Creamy or vinaigrette, as preferred)
- to taste Salt (For seasoning the pork)
- to taste Pepper (For seasoning the pork)
- 1 tablespoon Smoked Paprika (For flavor)
- 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder (For flavor)
- 1 teaspoon Onion Powder (For flavor)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- In a small bowl, mix together smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the pork shoulder.
- Place the pork in a roasting pan and cover with foil. Bake for 4-5 hours or until the meat is tender and easily pulled apart.
- Remove the pork from the oven and let it rest for 30 minutes before shredding it with two forks.
- In a large bowl, combine the coleslaw mix and coleslaw dressing. Mix well and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Once the pork is shredded, mix in the BBQ sauce until well combined.
- To assemble the sandwiches, place a generous portion of pulled pork on the bottom half of each bun, top with coleslaw, and cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the pork in the spice rub overnight.
- Feel free to customize your coleslaw with additional ingredients like diced apples or nuts for added crunch.
