- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Place the chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the BBQ sauce, chicken broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken breasts.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours, or on high for 3-4 hours, until the chicken is fully cooked and tender.
- Remove the chicken from the crockpot and shred with two forks.
- Return the shredded chicken to the sauce in the crockpot and stir to coat.
- Serve on buns, over rice, or with your favorite sides.
Notes
- Feel free to add more spices or hot sauce to the BBQ sauce for extra flavor.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
