Ingredients
Scale
- 2 racks of baby back ribs
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
- Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
- In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
- Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
- Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down. Cover and cook for about 2 hours, maintaining a steady temperature.
- Brush BBQ sauce on the ribs during the last 30 minutes of cooking, turning and basting every 10 minutes.
- Once the ribs are tender and the sauce is caramelized, remove them from the grill.
- Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
- Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.
Notes
- For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice rub overnight in the refrigerator.
- If using a charcoal grill, arrange coals to one side for indirect cooking.
- You can also cook the ribs in the oven at 275°F for 2.5 to 3 hours before finishing on the grill.
