Description

Tender and flavorful BBQ baby back ribs that are perfect for your next cookout. These ribs are coated in a homemade barbecue sauce that caramelizes beautifully while cooking.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 racks of baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (homemade or store-bought)
  • Optional: fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill to medium heat (about 300°F).
  2. Remove the silver skin from the back of the ribs for better flavor absorption.
  3. In a small bowl, mix together salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika.
  4. Rub the spice mixture all over the ribs, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  5. Place the ribs on the grill, bone side down. Cover and cook for about 2 hours, maintaining a steady temperature.
  6. Brush BBQ sauce on the ribs during the last 30 minutes of cooking, turning and basting every 10 minutes.
  7. Once the ribs are tender and the sauce is caramelized, remove them from the grill.
  8. Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired.
  9. Serve with extra BBQ sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, marinate the ribs in the spice rub overnight in the refrigerator.
  • If using a charcoal grill, arrange coals to one side for indirect cooking.
  • You can also cook the ribs in the oven at 275°F for 2.5 to 3 hours before finishing on the grill.
