- 3 ripe bananas, mashed
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- Pinch of salt
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1 large egg, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, mix the melted butter with the mashed bananas until well combined.
- Stir in the baking soda and salt.
- Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract, mixing until smooth.
- Gently fold in the flour until just combined; do not overmix.
- Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan.
- Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Let the banana bread cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then turn it out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider adding walnuts or chocolate chips to the batter.
- Store banana bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or in the refrigerator for up to a week.
