Description

These are classic bakery style cookies with a soft center and slightly crispy edges.


Ingredients

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix flour and baking soda.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and salt.
  4. Add vanilla and eggs to the butter mixture and mix well.
  5. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients.
  6. Fold in chocolate chips.
  7. Drop tablespoons of dough onto a baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are golden.
  9. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
