Perfectly fluffy baked potatoes with a crispy skin, made easily in your oven.
Ingredients

- 4 medium russet potatoes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- Butter, sour cream, chives, or toppings of your choice for serving
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Scrub the potatoes under running water and dry them thoroughly.
- Prick each potato several times with a fork to allow steam to escape during baking.
- Rub each potato with olive oil and sprinkle with sea salt and black pepper.
- Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack or on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 45 to 60 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Cut a slit in the top of each potato and fluff the insides with a fork.
- Serve with your favorite toppings.
Notes
- For a crispier skin, you can bake the potatoes directly on the oven rack.
- Cooking time may vary depending on the size of the potatoes. Larger potatoes may require additional time.
