Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground chicken, breadcrumbs, parmesan, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on baking sheet.
  4. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Top each meatball with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Return to oven for 5 minutes until cheese melts.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
