- 1 lb ground chicken
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup marinara sauce
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh basil
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix ground chicken, breadcrumbs, parmesan, egg, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Form mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Top each meatball with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese.
- Return to oven for 5 minutes until cheese melts.
- Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
Notes
- Use lean ground chicken for best results.
- Meatballs can be frozen before baking.
- Serve with pasta or as an appetizer.
