- 1 cup granulated sugar

- 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar

- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the apple butter, sugar, and butter until smooth.
- Beat in the egg until fully incorporated.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough and roll them into balls.
- Roll each ball in the cinnamon sugar mixture to coat.
- Place the coated dough balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, until the edges are slightly golden but the centers are still soft.
- Remove from the oven and let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
